The Коgan Foundation became an initiator of international exhibition «ConnectingВurg», Yekaterinburg

On the 26 of October, in Yekaterinburg, in business center «Manhattan»(Mamina-Sibiryaka street, 101)  the presentation of international exhibition  «ConnectingÐ’urg» to support the world exhibition  «EXPO-2020» in the Ural capital was held.

Organizer of the project was an application committee «EXPO-2020» and the Kogan Fund for support of unique cultural projects.

«The Fund has always supported bright ideas, attracting the attention of the society to the topical problems . It goes without saying that one of this ideas was an international project «ConnectingÐ’urg», - said a chairman of the Fund’s Board Valery Saveljev at the exhibition opening. – All the visitors and participants of the exhibition were convinced once more that the Ural capital is ready to receive the guests of the exhibition on its territory in appropriate manner. Luckily for us, that we were supported by the application committee “EXPO-2020”. The place for the exhibition wasn’t chosen accidentally, it will be a business center «Manhattan» which has got unique areas to organize such original events».

For two months the celebrities of Yekaterinburg and professional artists were depicting the most important facts and events of the Ural capital on the umbrellas. The artists and students of the Ural State University of Mines and the Ural State Architecture and Arts Academy helped VIPs to paint. Over 200 people took part in the art project.

The minister of physical culture, sport and youth policy of Sverdlovskaya region Leonid  Rapoport  covered the umbrella with drawings in honor of  World Football Championship in 2018 , which will take place in Yekaterinburg. The secretary of Governor’s Council of Sverdlovskaya region who is responsible for professional football development in the region Alexander Levin painted the umbrella «Times are changing   – football remains!» in honor of football club “Ural”, it’s vice president, a director of the Palace of game kinds of sport Gennady Sevastjanov represented the PGKS as a center of international sport events. The players of men’s national volleyball team sitting  «AVS Rodnik» devoted their umbrella to  sports achievements of the Yekaterinburg’s citizens-invalids and Paralympiad -2012, in which they took part. Vice president of basketball club «Ural» Andrey Salov devoted the pictures on his umbrella to the Ural champions of men’s basketball team.

The organizers of the project decided to give authors’ umbrellas to all who wished to have them under the  auction’s conditions in the end of the exhibition and  send all the proceeds  for charity.
